I am making extremely good progress with the sequel/prequel to “Nighthawks: A Book of the Broken”. I have made it to chapter three on “Devlin: A Book of the Broken”. This may seem like a small accomplishment, but these chapters are huge!
Once again, I am playing around with the structure of the novel. I am telling the story of the hitman from Nighthawks in reverse order.
I have a lot of stories to tell about “The City” and its inhabitants, but decided to start the sequels with Devlin’s story, because I received a lot of feedback about the complexity of Nighthawks. Future installments will be as complex, if not more so than Nighthawks, so I decided it best to follow up with a more simplistic tale.
It is a tale that takes place between the two major story line times in Nighthawks. This book occurs from 1919-1922…smack dab in the middle of the 1935 Nighthawks beginning and end and the 1915 “flashback”.
I am hoping for a spring release for this Book of the Broken.
By the way, more about the mysterious “man in the white suit” is divulged in this offering.
